SWG Cheat: Tanking from level 1-89

When your fighting, and your about to level go attack something - Lure as much as you can. Once you level you'll start being automatically healed and regain all health and action, your action will come back twice as fast and you'll gain about 200hp per second - so lure some NPCs and start fighting.

This is a great way to gain tons of Xp at a low level.

Say your on the ryatt trail at level 60, and your about to level. Find an npc - Any will do, I would go for Lobarro For hes a level 60 elite. Get him to low health DONT KILL HIM, Lure some other things.. Like the gotals, Kill him. You'll get back to full Hp and and action and will be automatically healed.

You can keep this going for as long as you feel like. Just never go out of combat and you'll be tanking like a level 90.

SWG Exploit: AV-21 farming and soloing the vet

You can do the prequest to the Corvette instance as many times as you want and get into the instance as many times as you want. Once inside, you can check the 3 loot armoires and the defunct droid (target it and use /open) to find spice, av-21 powerplants and, depending on faction, berserker rifle parts or rebel shirts.

If you are a spy, just stealth through it and open all 4 loot boxes and complete the instance without ever getting into combat. If you arent a spy, do your respective faction's Vette instance but begin flagging down to On Leave right before you go into the instance. Once in the Vette, wait to flag down. once you do, all the NPCs will turn white and you can walk free throughout the instance.

Also, you can bring along 7 other players who can /afk for 20 minutes while you are in the instance. For each member present, they get an AV-21 schematic upon completion of the instance to use for those powerplants, as well as a badge.

I've made a lot of credits doing this.

ASWG Macro: Little PVP macro for Jedi

A little trick I found the other day for jedi - works for pve, better for pvp (when fighting ranged)...

First, put your Force Throw command into a toolbar slot (I'll use slot 12 for this example, which is toolbarSlot11 in macro-speak)
Create a macro titled "snare" and type:

/ui action toolbarSlot11;
/pause .5;
/macro snare;

This will make you constantly use Force Throw if you are targeting an enemy... it uses virtually no action and recharges very, very fast, but you can keep your target snared for your entire fight - just attack as normal, and the macro will snare them every time it's recharged. Be warned, since most people out there don't face this much, they'll accuse you of using a hack - but to me, getting reported for stuff like this means I'm doing something right, lol.

SWG not so known game tips

misc
CLOSING WINDOWS: you can just use esc to close windows

REPLACING RINGS: if you got a new ring that is better than one of your current ones, you need to first removed the one you wish to replace before putting on the new one. if you just put on the new one first it might take off the better ring you want to keep instead.

WEDDING RINGS: you can just unequip your wedding ring and replace it with a stated ring. Just don't destroy the wedding ring.

REMOVE CLONING SICKNESS WITH A MEDIC REZ: If your friend have forgot to remove the cs then you can just kill him/her then revive and the clonesickness will be gone. Note: Sometimes the cs icon don't disappear, but don't if you check your health and action status you will see they are normal

TIME: you can check the current time by typing /checkt
/earthtime shows the time (RL)
/gametime (IG RL)

XP MONITOR: Once you reach 90, you can turn off experience monitor to free up screen space.

CRTL+SHIFT COMMANDS:
Pressing Ctrl +Shift + H removes all HUD for those cool screenies
Pressing Ctrl +Shift + G shows stuff like Connection info etc
ctrl+shift+S makes the camera rotate.

FINDING BUILDINGS: use /locate to get a list with coordinates to all the stuctures you own.

ACCESSING TOP ROW OR ANOTHER PANE IN A MACRO:
use /ui action toolbarSlot 12 to 23 for top row.
use /ui action toolbarPane 00 to 05 to make it go to that pane where it can then use the Slot you want before returning to your toolbar of choice.
(handy if for example you have your buffs in another pane and want to make a buffing macro)

targetting
RADAR FOR TARGETTING: if you move the curser onto a dot in the radar circle it tells you what that dot is and it's waypoints. Even more cool if you click on the dot it makes that your target. So you can simply click on a dot and your in business.

TARGET TEAM MEMBER: you can click on a name in the group list and target that team member (faster that using /tar ). can also use F keys.

TARGET OF TARGET: in option > interface there's a secondary target thing where you can change it from default "None" to "Target of Target". target of target cause another name line thingy to apear at the top of your screen. so you have yourself, your target and your target's target.
The beauty of this is that if you mistakenly target your team mate, you can just click on his target (or hit tab) and your back in business.
Also you can see who the foe is attacking so that if you are the tank jedi you know when to taunt, or if you aren't a tank you know when to flee. And for medic handy that you can target a teammate (from the list), cure/heal whatever then flip to his target and resume attack.

waypoints
FIND FRIEND you can in fact use /findfriend even if someone is not on the same planet. Just check your datapad (uncheck the show only planet currently one box) and you'll be able to see what planet they are on, then travel to that planet and you can see the waypoint on your display (assuming they aren't running around). only works if you are on their friendlist.

OFF PLANET WAYPOINTS: you can make waypoints on other planets that you are not currently on by using /way , and you can also stick a name on it too.

COLOURING WAYPOINTS: you can insert a colour after /way when making a waypoing and the pin on the map and the pillar of light will also be changed. (you can use a hex code before the name you stick on the waypoint, but this won't change the pin and pillar colour)

travelling
AUTO-DRIVE: clicking the "Num Lock" key sets you to an auto-drive of sorts. You can still move the mouse to change direction. (or if you don't use mouse point mode, can steer with turning keys as per usual)

SPEEDY SHUTTLING: You can just press "I" while running and doubleclick on the ticket and poff you are gone. Note: You have to do it in the shuttle zone and you can of course not shuttle if the shuttle haven't landed yet.

CHOSING STARPORT: If you have coordinates to another planet and wonder which Star port is nearest, the coordinates themselves will help you choice. The first number of the coordinate refers to the east-west axis. a high negative number means far west, a high positive number means far east. the second number of the coordinate refers to the north-south axis. a high negative number means far south, a high positive number means far north. the lower the numbers the closer to the middle. so look at the travel map and figure out which SP is nearest to your area.

TRAVELLING FROM AURELIA (other than using Maxmillian): In Aurelia there's a house with space terminals, so you can leave the village for free and without having to run miles out of town to ITV to the starport. Fastest way home (if you registered your DNA in your home town) is to attack that L94 guard near Maxmillian

space
SPACE REPAIR: to get a free repair just do /escapePod yes your ship will blow up so dont do it in the middle of a mission.

HOMEPORT: use the Home Port option to hyperspace to where you launched from will save you having to travel to a space station

Quote:

MACRO FOR DROID PROGRAMS

using: reactor overload 4, engine overload 4, weapon cap overload 4, weapon overload 4 (although dont use it much need to get a better reactor) cap to shield shunt 4, in slots 1-5

/ui action toolbarSlot00
/Pause xx (depends on the speed of your DI)
/ui action toolbarSlot01
/pause xx
/ui action toolbarSlot02
/pause
/ui action toolbarSlot03

just run the macro when you launch/get blown up.

naming stuff
CHANGE NAME: when near a factory/harvester or anywhere inside a house/building (that you own) you can use /na to open the change name window without using the control panel.

HEX CODES: hex codes can be used to colour house signs, container names, waypoints, adbarks, in mail. for an extensive list of colours: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors

THREE LINES ON SIGNS etc: if you want to make your sign with up to 3 lines use your note pad /no or a blank email, type the message then highlight, copy and paste into the set name slot. in order to copy and paste in SWG first you'll need to go into you keymap and assign a hot key for chat edit copy and chat edit paste. you can make a crafted item also have three lines (you will only notice when you drop the item) but you can't use hex codes on crafted items.

chatting
CHAT SHORCUTS: /gu for guild chat, /g for group, /say for say in spatial (if you are currently in guild or group chat), /rebel for rebel chat

%TT: if you want to say the name of the targetted thing or reference it in some way and don't feel like typing the name all out, you can use %TT and it will replace it with the item or persons name. Unfortunately you cannot use %TT in customised adbarks.

SHOUTING: /shout or /yell will make you heard from 100m rather than the standard 50m

VARIOUS STYLES OF SPEACH BUBBLES:
/state or proclaim
/mumble or moan
/recite
/whisper (which i think has a short range)
/gossip
/yell or shout (which has a range of 100m)
/howl
/huff
/jabber
/blurt
/stutter
/rap

USING /SING FOR AFK MACRO: many people like to have a macro running to prevent ejection from the game if they are AFK too long. and quite often you've see people standing around in Mos Eisley and you get "Mr X flips a coin" or what not.
As you know some words will trigger an emote. If you use thus /sing , for example, hi, , lol, me?, yes! then you can run a silent macro (/sing hi) that doesn't periodically spam out "Mr X waves"

you can use /alias to set something not too unlike a macro. doni recommends using them to access the in game browser to automatically connect to certain sites but they can also be used for in game text.

type in the chat

/alias example: /say Hello everyone

then it say alias "example" set

then you do
/example

and it will then make you say "Hello everyone"

if you want to clear that alias the use
/unalias example

you can use /gu or /g as the case may be and for example set up some with quick commands you would want to say in the heat of battle but don't want to take the time to say full out. now just / and the name of the alias is all you need to type and it will do the rest for you.

SWG Exploit: Elder Jedi - Combat while blue glowie/force ghost

Normally if you have force ghost/blue glowie activated and you enter combat the blue glowie effect is lost. I stumbled upon a way to keep the blue glowie going while fighting as long as you do not clone or shuttle.

To do it, you need to visit a Storyteller vendor.

1. Purchase any costume and a holoshroud(multiple ones if you intend to shuttle and want to redo)
2. Apply the Force ghost ability
3. Now, apply the costume you purchased.
4. Attack something and the game will pull off your costume but forget about your blue glowie.

Cloning and traveling will remove the effect, but its easily repeatable.

2. Feel free to experiment adding new things to the macro. For example I have my GCW buffs macroed to this as well.

SWG Trick: getting by umakk breano for master jedi cloak

Master Jedi Cloaks

A simple macroto beat Umakk can help alot. Stay in focus as the guide describes until you need to heal then launch a Macro that will:

1- Switch to Stance
2- Hits the Heal
3- Hits the Reflect (it does help with alacrity as the guide says)
4- Pauses for 10 sec's (to let the cooldown on the stances run)
5- Switches back to Focus

Watch the debuff and time the Macro so that focus comes back before the debuff runs out. This combined with Officer Stims to fill in between heals works great. If you also run the Saberblock macro you really only need to hit 2-3 buttons:

1- Macro Heal described above
2- Officer Heal Stim's

This really allows you to just sit back and keep an eye on the timers of the heal and debuff. I stacked Parry with PuPs and exotics and used the Block Meditate ability. Ent Buff was Kinetic, Glancing Blow, Healing Potency. Used Thatkillo, Numbing stuff from Base, Defensive Wild Force Shard, Village Health crystal, Med Buffs, and Officer Buff. I also had the Officer /follow so the group buff stayed active.

Don't stop for nothin!, Useful in PvP or PvE

Ok, so your goin PvP in Deep space and don't wanna be blown up. Well hyperdrive can always get you out of a tight situation either PvP or PvE at times but theres that point for 5 seconds your pretty much a sitting duck as it preps for jump.

Heres the trick, Make sure your ship has boosters equipped, doesn't matter which just some boosters (any of them will at least get you a little past your normal top-speed anyway) and just as the "auto-pilot" kicks on, hit your boosters. The countdown to hyperspace will keep going but you wont stop movin and your no longer a easy target so next thing you know it will be a "now you see me, Now you don't" situation and you didnt even stop for re-orientation of your ship before hyperjump.

This personally has gotten me out of quite a few jams with BH's (bastards... >.<) Anyway after discovering this thought I would post it somewhere so why not here huh?

Feel free to test and try it out and confirm if it works or not cause I know it does on Flurry.

SWG Macro: Easy Fishing Macro, Just sit back and relax!

This is a very simple fishing macro that requires no setup. that is good. But not so good at the same time. This macro will make it so you can just set it, and walk away from computer. You want to be in a spot where your casts won't exceed 5m, or the macro will cycle over before the catch works its way to you. I use the little puddles in my city on Rori quite often. They are just the right size. Your inv will fill up in a couple hours (each fish == 3 slots), you'll need to pop in to filet/destroy regularly. Make sure you are fishing in a good location. 5/0 or 5/1 Fish Density/Vegetation.

The macro depends on letting the fish charge toward you enough times to get within 2m, so you can play with the timing if you aren't getting a high percentage of catches (I find about 20% of the fish that make it to "Caught Something?!" still get away, but 80% catch rate is acceptable for me). The value to adjust would be the final /pause 20, this is the section for the reel-in portion. The /pause 8 values are for the nibble/bite phase, and the defaultButton event for fishing triggers the first entry in the list (Tug Up, I believe).

One final note: since this macro uses defaultButton, you can't do anything else while it is running.

It works pretty well. Over the span of a month, I pulled up enough to finish the 3 fishing collections on 5 toons (had to move around to get the Master Angler and Naboo Angler fish, of course), and had enough aquarium parts to craft 6 of them.

NOW HERE IS THE MACRO And do not forget to name the macro "fish" without the quotes

/fish;
/pause 22;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 8;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 8;

SWG Trick: Level your new commando quickly

When you start out in the space station as a commando, all you have to do is go down to the droid repair room, stand in a corner and use your special shots...

They hurt all the enemies in front of you and immediately kill them.

This is extremely useful because you can get to the highest level possible on the station in just a few minutes.

Super easy and you dont have to go through the annoying quests if you dont want to, plus they drop good items and a lot of money

This is reall easy to do.

You need 3 toons (will call them A,B,C):

SWG Macros - AFK Scavenger collection!

One of our members asked for something either similar to this or this one exactly so in my search I found this one!

I decided to try and create a sampling macro that would maximize the amount of time you spent sampling and the amount of resources you sampled and minimize the inherent drift caused by standing when your action bar runs out. I came up with this.

First, make sure you have a pet that has learned Resource Scavenger. Make sure the pet is named.

Call out the pet, and command it to stay. Then have it start scavenging. As soon as you have it start scavenging, run the macro:

/follow buttmonkey;
/pause 3;
/sample;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 15;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 5;
/ui action defaultButton;
/pause 2;
/stand;
/pause 17;
/ui action petToolbarSlot3;
/macro sample;

My pet is named Buttmonkey, hence the first line of the macro. The command to activate the Resource Scavenger command is in slot 3 of my pet toolbar, hence the command at the bottom "/ui action petToolbarSlot3;". Yours may be in a diferent slot. The slots are numbered from left to right, 0-8. Change that number in the line to whichever slot your command is in. The macro runs a length of about 2:55.

Using this macro, I left myself sampling overnight. I returned at noon today to find I was still within 1m of my original location. When your toon drifts too far away, the first line of the macro brings him back where he belongs. You will never drift out of range of that perfect spot, and the pet adds 50% to your sampling. In 9 or so hours of sampling on only a 63% concentration, I had already picked up over 35K of resources.
